May You Live in Interesting Times...

Well, that old Chinese proverb is coming around to bite me in the butt.

It's a surreal feeling when you turn off the alarm clock and get ready for work...knowing your only job today is to turn in your termination paperwork. It's not like *you* made the decision to move on. It's just that your contract expired...even after being assured by the customer that it would be continued.

*sigh*

Contingency plans are in the works, but it may take some time. In the meanwhile, "you have 16 days of pay while you try to find another contract within the company." Those are scary words.

*sigh*...again.

Interesting times, indeed.
